Ordering School & University Uniforms in Bulk in Malaysia
Whether it's a PIBG ordering class tees, a school arranging sports house colours, or a university printing convocation and club shirts, bulk uniform orders all run into the same few decisions. Here's what to sort out before you contact a printer.
1. Confirm your sizing breakdown first
Before requesting a quote, collect a size breakdown by class, form or department — not just a total headcount. Malaysian schools typically order in kids' and adult sizing together, so a clear breakdown (e.g. "Form 1: 30 M, 20 L") avoids reprints and speeds up production.
2. Decide who supplies the artwork
Some schools already have an approved crest or house-colour design; others need one created from scratch. If you don't have print-ready artwork, a printer that includes free design — like our library of 2,000+ templates — saves the PIBG or school committee a separate design cost.
3. Pick the right printing method for the budget
For large cohorts with a simple 1–2 colour crest or house design, silk screen printing keeps the per-piece cost low. For sports house shirts with all-over colour, sublimation gives a sharper, more vibrant finish. We'll recommend the method once we see your design and quantity.
4. Build in time for approval
School and university orders usually need sign-off from a committee, PIBG or procurement office before production starts. Request your quote and design mockup early so there's time for approval — if the order does become urgent, bulk rush orders can still be completed within 4 working days once approved.
5. Ask about delivery to the school or campus
For orders outside Ipoh, ask whether the printer can arrange delivery directly to your school or campus. We arrange postage or Lalamove delivery on request so committees don't need to arrange collection themselves.
